Shape Bender Sketchup Download
Ever since Sketchup (formerly Google Sketchup) debuted in 2000, it has been holding its position as one of the world’s favourite and most used 3d-modeling software systems available. Sketchup, designed by Last Software, is used by both students and professionals in various design fields, including architecture, landscape architecture, animation, and video game development. It has a wide range of tools and scripts to develop various three-dimensional forms that are helpful for modelling and sculpting 3D models
However, there are several design functions that cannot be performed by Sketchup alone. Such operations involve much more complexity. So here are some software plug-ins that are available to download that can be helpful aids in performing those missing actions

This free SketchUp plugins Chirs Fullmer’s amazing tool allows you to bend an entire component or group, so you can create bespoke windows. Create a shape to bend. It must be a group or a component, select the shape to be bend. Select the Shape Bender tool, then select a single horizontal (red axis) line to use as the base for bending. Then select the curve that the shape will bend to match. Wait for it to think, then it will show a grid and preview of where your object is going to.
1001bit Tools (Freeware) is a collection of various tools useful for fast creation of architectural elements.

Staircases, spiral staircase, windows, doors, walls, customised openings on walls, automatic generation of hip roofs, rafters and purlins etc.
1001bit Tools also include some useful drawing and editing tools such as fillet edges, extend, chamfer etc.
This plugin comes with 39 tools directed at designing architectural elements. Once installed the plugin comes with its own toolbar, the tools are more advanced and helpful in the design process.

2. CleanUp3(free)
With this plugin we can “clean” our model from all those segments, hidden geometry, duplicate faces
- Fixes duplicate component definition names ( When in model scope )
- Purge unused items
- Erase hidden geometry
- Erase duplicate faces
- Erase lonely edges ( Except edges on cut plane )
- Remove edge material
- Repair split edges
- Smooth & soft edges
- Put edges and faces to Layer0
- Merge identical materials
- Merge connected co-planar faces
Overall, You can use it to reduce size of your sketchup file

3.Joint pushpull(free)
Extrude curve surfaces with joint push pull
Sketchup doesn’t support extruding (push/pull) curved surfaces, but with the help of the Joint push/pull tool, multiple surfaces can be “pushed/pulled” simultaneously. This tool is very useful for creating volumetric solids, curved-in multiple axes, or building elements extruded along walls.

4.Work Plane(free)
Add a series of aligned gridded ‘WorkPlanes’ to aid modelling in a plane Instead of 3d.

5.s4u Make Face(free)
When you get to making complex shapes, closed shapes sometimes won’t close. This plugin is a good quick way to try to make a face from a complex closed shape that sketchup won’t recognize.
Making faces from 2d cad drawing is frustrating, but what if you could make them just by one click.

6.Curviloft (free)
This tool is very effective and dedicated to performing loft and skinning through Sketchup. This tool is used to generate surface from contours provided by the user,
Curviloft consist of 3 tools, which are loft by spline, loft along path, and skinning. The first tool, which is loft by spline, creates contours between surfaces based on spline curves. Next is the loft along path, which works just like the follow me tool however this has the capability to join two different shapes. The last tool is the skinning, which produces contours from two or more paths. This plugin is helpful specially in making objects, which have irregular sides and faces.

7.Shape Bender (free)
This plug-in helps in bending an existing group to match any curved line. For example, it can be used to design serpentine roads
CLF Shape Bender has the ability to generate curved entities with supreme accurateness. The SketchUp users can select any 3D object in their model and curve or stretch it alongside a path/line which is already drawn and selected. The object should be a group or a component.

8.Round corner (free)
The Round Corner toolset is very useful for chamfering edges or to reduce smoothing of specified 3D objects in Sketchup, which is not possible with Sketchup alone. It is a well-executed plug-in allowing users to round, sharpen, and bevel edges of any configuration and complexity.

9.Component stringer(free)
CLF Component Stringer plugin is very useful to set components alongside a path as well as fasten them collectively alongside a curve and wide array of connected lines.
The plugin also facilitates to rotate the components when they are positioned and scaling them directly in SketchUp

10. Soap Skin and Bubble(free)
It is a plugin that allows you to apply a skin over an object to create complex curved surfaces in just a click of a button.
The amazing part of the plugin is that you see the surface being built in real-time! Makes for a pretty slick animation.
The user also has the ability to apply a certain pressure to the surface. Adding a positive pressure inflates the surface like a balloon and applying a negative deflates it, as you would expect. The program’s physics does have a limitation based on the fact that it does not take into account the surface tension and environment conditions. But regardless still an amazing plugin!
Overall, the soap skin bubble tool is an essential plugin to have if you are designing complex curves and works great to design aerodynamic projects such as cars. But architects and Frank Lloyd Wright fans, you’re not left out, this is great for designing 22nd century curvy architecture with ease.
